some times you it will take you half an hour to convince people, that you are from "NIT" not "NIIT-software training institute" ha ha ha….
NIT's are not famous as IIT's in tier-2 and tier-3 cities…
p.s: NIIT is more famous than NIT

hi, me as a B.E in BIOTECH and cracked GATE-12 and worked as placement co-ordiantor for Chemical engineering department in NITK . i cant say there are no biotech jobs in India or even if there are jobs they will hire Bsc biotech people than B.tech biotech, coming to your question.
1. my friend with M.tech in Biotech from a NIT , got placed in BIOCON , with a salary of 5k per month for 6 months , which will increase to 8000 after training . this is the lowest i had seen .
2. in the same case two of my friends joined paraxel and XL health care , medical coding companies ..they started with 8000 in training , now they are getting 32000 per month after 1 year . this is the highest salary i had seen.
3.but if you love biotech , and wanna continue in research field then you will get good amount of stipend from central government, by the revised stipend structures by central government.
4. if you want enter teaching profession , then you can earn 12,000 – 18,000 per month in any B.tech biotech department of engineering colleges
but my urge to all biotech community is that . plz don't search for jobs. u will get very less salaries and you don't have economic growth even after doing PDF (post doc).
try to start up biotech companies , take the lead create ideas, implement them as start ups..get funding , create some scope for our future generations.

if biotech is not a good field , kiran mazumdar shah wont be a billionare .and to all my fellow biotech guys , " if biotech doesn't have scope , lets create it"
